ACC Statement
STATEMENT REGARDING ROYAL COMMISSION
September 2014 - ACC National Office

The Australian Christian Churches is fully supportive of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse, and the outcomes being in the best interests of safeguarding children.

The Australian Christian Churches has been co-operating with requests of the Royal Commission to provide information and procedures on cases of child abuse that occurred in churches within the ACC denomination.

We strongly stand against abuse in any form, particularly when it comes to the sexual abuse of children. One case is one too many. The Australian Christian Churches has rigorous procedures in place when dealing with allegations of child abuse, and we remain committed to building a stronger culture of transparency and accountability when it comes to creating a safe environment for our children.
