ANSWERING THE QUESTION ON RELIGION IN THE AUSTRALIAN CENSUS
All ACC members to write 'PENTECOSTAL'
August 2021 -

The Australian Household Census is to be held on Tuesday, 10th August 2021. This is the compulsory survey held every five years by the Australian Government. Question 23 on Religion is optional, but it is extremely important that all people of faith across our nation answer it.

The following points are important for all those who are part of ACC churches:

* ANSWER Question 23. The question on Religion is optional, but please be counted for your faith and answer the question. To abstain from answering won’t help strengthen the Christian voice in our nation.

* Tick the ‘OTHER’ box. You will note that there is no specific box for those who attend an ACC church, yet it is imperative that we are represented in the data.

* Write ‘PENTECOSTAL’. Responses will be ABS coded and totalled as representation for the Pentecostal Church.

Thank you. A unified response from all Pentecostal Churches will help to present a greater picture of who we are to the government.
