What we can do to help rural Australia
August 2018 - ACC National

We are calling our ACC pastors and churches to pray for and support those living in rural Australia who are currently facing devastating effects from the severe drought conditions.

With ongoing, unprecedented dry and hot weather, farmers in NSW and QLD are facing enormous hardship in keeping their livestock and farms operational and sustainable. The impact is intensifying as they navigate these extreme conditions, with water supplies low, dams drying up, and exorbitant prices to buy and ship feed in from around the country to keep their stock alive.

We have launched a disaster appeal through ACCI Missions to support those impacted by this drought. We will be working through our own ACC churches in these drought affected regions to coordinate a response to families most affected by this crisis.

These are the people who put the food on our table, who are now struggling to put food on theirs.¬†We are grateful for your support to help provide for those in the midst of desperate circumstances. Let’s start to mobilise our congregations to pray for and support rural Australia in this time of dire need.
