Thank you for participating in the ACC 2026 Census.
This is one of the most valuable ways we can understand our Movement and tell our story. Each church location will need to complete a separate census. You can either complete the ACC 2026 Census on the form mailed to your church, or complete it online here by clicking the button below:
Your Church Census Code is required to access the online census. Please note this is not your ACC Church ID.

The ACC Census is an annual survey for all churches in the movement. In 2026, it will be combined with other national surveys, such as the National Church Life Survey (NCLS), supported by NCLS Research and NAYBA Australia.
-
The ACC Census is fully funded by ACC National, with no cost to churches. Only one person needs to complete the free ACC Census. Local churches may also take advantage of the National Church Life surveys to hear voices of all attenders and leaders, and receive a snapshot of local church life.
-
The National Church Life Survey is Australia’s largest church research project, conducted every five years to provide insights into church life, leadership and community engagement. It has been run by NCLS Research for 35 years.
-
NAYBA helps measure the social value of the Church in Australia. Data from churches across ACC will help quantify the collective community benefit created through ministry, volunteering, practical care and community engagement.
-
The survey will be completed during September and October 2026, using August 2026 attendance and activity data.
-
One survey should be completed for each church location or campus.
-
Attendance, salvations, baptisms, staffing, volunteering, community engagement and basic church demographic information.
-
It provides the first major Movement-wide benchmark since COVID and coincides with the broader Australian Census.
-
Movement-wide findings will be shared at the 2027 ACC National Conference.
-
Because every church has a chapter in the ACC story. If your church isn’t counted, part of the story is missing.

Your Church Census Code is required to access the online census. Please note this is not your ACC Church ID. You can find your unique Church Census Code on the form you received in the mail, or you can contact census@acc.org.au with the name of your church/campus and our team will give you your code.
